
Iharada Haruka 居原田遥
Born in Okinawa in 1991 and raised there, Haruka Iharada is an independent curator. Her research and practice focus on the role of art and culture in addressing political and social issues across Okinawa and Asia. She collaborates with artists and cultural practitioners on interdisciplinary projects that engage with contemporary social challenges.
She is a Lecturer in the Master’s Program in Fine Arts at Kyoto University of the Arts. She completed the doctoral coursework (without obtaining a degree) in the Department of Art Studies and Curatorial Practices, Graduate School of Global Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. She is also a Research Fellow at the Institute for Regional Studies, Okinawa University, a Part-time Lecturer at Kyoto City University of Arts, and a Part-time Lecturer in the Division of Representation and Culture, Faculty of Letters, Kansai University (2026 academic year).
1991年沖縄生まれ、沖縄育ち。インディペンデント・キュレーター。沖縄をはじめとするアジア地域における政治・社会的課題と向き合う芸術文化の実践や、その社会的活用について研究・実践を行い、国内外のアーティストや実践者との協働プロジェクトを展開している。
京都芸術大学大学院芸術専攻講師。東京藝術大学大学院国際芸術創造研究科アートプロデュース専攻博士後期課程満期退学。沖縄大学地域研究所特別研究員。京都市立芸術大学非常勤講師。関西大学文学部表象文化専修非常勤講師(2026年度)。
