Biography

Iharada Haruka 居原田遥

Born in 1991 and raised in Okinawa. Independent curator. She collaborates with artists and practitioners while researching how art and culture can be and should be utilized to face political and social issues and difficulties in Okinawa and other Asian countries.
As of 2024, she is a doctoral student at the Graduate School of Global Art, Tokyo University of the Arts. Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (DC1). Board member of Docu Athan, Special researcher at the Institute of Regional Studies, Okinawa University. Part-time lecturer at Kyoto City University of Arts.

1991年沖縄育ち。インディペンデント・キュレーター。沖縄をはじめとするアジアの政治・社会課題や困難と向きあう芸術文化のあり方や活かし方を研究しながら、アーティストや実践者たちと協働する。2024年現在は、東京藝術大学大学院国際芸術創造研究科博士後期課程在籍。日本学術振興会特別研究員（DC1）。一般社団法人Docu Athan理事。沖縄大学地域研究所特別研究員。京都市立芸術大学非常勤講師。
